Low Profile LED Lighting for Display and Feature Applications

Star lights and cabinet lights are compact, low profile LED fittings designed for applications where a standard downlight would be too large, too bright, or simply unsuitable for the space. Often referred to as mini downlights or mini spotlights, their small form factor makes them ideal for installation within joinery, cabinetry, display shelving, and feature areas where integrated lighting is part of the overall design.

S-tech’s star light and cabinet light range is supplied for residential and commercial projects where discreet, focused illumination is required in tight or confined spaces.

Star Lights for Residential and Feature Lighting

Star lights are compact mini downlights commonly used in residential environments where a subtle lighting effect is desired. Their small size means they can be installed without ceiling canisters, simplifying installation particularly in areas with limited ceiling depth.

Available in warm white, neutral white, and cool white, with a choice of white, black, or brushed chrome trim, star lights can be matched to suit most interior styles. They work with most trailing edge and universal dimmers, allowing light levels to be adjusted to suit the mood and function of the space. Driver options range from a 1-2 starlight driver through to a 3-6 dimmable starlight driver, providing flexibility to suit different installation requirements.

Star lights are well suited to:

  • home theatres and entertainment rooms
  • residential bathrooms and ensuites
  • living areas and bedrooms where a feature lighting effect is preferred
  • recreational areas and alfresco spaces
  • any application where a small, unobtrusive recessed fitting is required

Cabinet Lights for Joinery and Display

Cabinet lights are designed to illuminate the interior of cabinetry, shelving, and display areas. The 3w LED cabinet light can be either recessed mounted or surface mounted using the supplied surface mount frame, giving flexibility to suit different joinery configurations. Supplied in a white trim and neutral white colour temperature, they are suitable for use in most interior environments. Using the CAB-PWR-6 driver, up to 6 cabinet lights can be run from a single driver. Note that cabinet lights are non-dimmable.

Common applications include:

  • under cabinet lighting in kitchens and commercial joinery
  • display cabinet and showcase illumination
  • retail shelving and product presentation
  • commercial joinery and fitout lighting
  • feature shelf lighting in hospitality and residential interiors

The compact size and focused output of cabinet lights make them a practical choice wherever integrated lighting needs to work within the constraints of the joinery or display structure.
