Introduced in 2009, our turtle and wildlife safe products have been used throughout the north west of Western Australia to ensure the preservation of the sea turtle by providing safe lighting for areas using a particular LED wavelength that is invisible to turtles. As time has progressed we have been asked for a range of products for multiple areas around Australia including the testing of the product in severe insect infested areas to reduce the number of bugs attracted to LED and incandescent lights. Our research has found in these applications we can significantly reduce the number of bugs attracted to lights by implementing the same wavelength that we use in our turtle safe products. Whilst not completely eliminating the insect attraction, we found that there is now less than 10% of the bugs attracted to our lights than to other lighting sources, so you are getting around 90% less insects when using this product.
